- Sons of Korah collection – Psalms 42-49
- Asaph – Psalm 50
- David collection – Psalms 51-70 (minus 66-67)
- No ascription – Psalm 71
- Solomon – Psalm 72
Who are the Sons of Korah?
- Numbers 16 – rebellion against Moses’ authority
- Numbers 26:5-11 – the sons of Korah did not die!
- 1 Chronicles 6:31-44
- three choir leaders—Heman, Asaph, and Ethan—all wrote psalms
- Heman is grandson of the prophet Samuel, who was descended from Korah!
- 1 Chronicles 9:17-20 – sons of Korah were gatekeepers in charge of the temple grounds and maintenance
- Prominent clan of worship leaders
